Grid-Connected System

a solar electric or photovoltaic (PV) system in which the PV array acts like a central generating plant, supplying power to the grid. It allows you to power your home or small business with renewable energy during those periods when the sun is plentiful. Excess electricity produced is fed back into the grid. When renewable resources are unavailable, electricity from the grid supplies your needs and eliminates the expense of electricity storage devices such as batteries.
